Nanotechnology
The National Nanotechnology Initiative (a US government-sponsored cooperative) defines nanotechnology as the understanding and control of materials with dimensions between 1 and 100 nanometers. Certain physical, chemical and biological properties do occur at the nanoscale differently than they occur in larger scale materials.
At Hypercat ACP, the use of nanotechnology enables us to manufacture catalysts with significantly reduced Platinum Group Metals (PGMs) without sacrificing efficacy, function or durability. Head-to-head comparisons in a controlled study show that use of nanotechnology-loaded catalytic materials produce dramatic savings over traditional catalytic device control applications.
